Circles divided [A4 size art print]

Shipping to United States: $10.13

If I had to justify this design in terms of mathematics, all I could offer would be that the 6 concentric circles are divided into 2,3,5,8,13 & 21 segments - the numbers following 1 in the Fibonacci series.

But the truth is that even though that's how they started, they soon developed into a series of crooked 'spirals' into the centre. Because they look good.

Designed by David Lawrence, d/dx art prints are created on 315 gsm Canson Infinity Museum Rag produced at the centuries-old Arches paper mill in France. This superb art paper is acid-free and uses no optical brighteners to degrade over time. Ultrachrome K3 inks provide vivid colours which will last without fading for many decades in normal conditions. The robustness of the paper makes DIY framing a simple matter.

This print is standard European A4 (210*297mm) in size and is unframed - (An A3 version is available as a separate listing.) It will be packed flat in a crystal envelope with cardboard stiffener and posted in a rigid protective container.

The colours you are seeing on your monitor are inevitably not precisely the colours you would see if you were looking at the same design in printed form. There is simply no way around that, since the internet places limits on the range of colours that can be displayed and, even if that were not the case, every monitor is subtly (sometimes wildly!) different in the way it displays colours.

But you can be reassured that the quality of our equipment is such that colours and quality are consistent over time and the print you receive will be identical to other prints sold in galleries and art fairs to buyers who have every opportunity to handle and assess them.

Great gift for a 17 year old boy who loves sleek, modern design (he's a big fan of rap). Looks fantastic matted in a frame, and looks great with the personal touch of the initialed 'D' in bottom left corner! Note: through absolutely no fault of the seller, USPS took a long time to deliver the package, since it was signature on delivery (and nobody was present the first time / they didn't even try to go to the door?). We had to use the USPS tracking site and hound them about redelievering! Especially if the gift is time sensitive (i.e., someone's birthday / Christmas), keep an eye on the tracking updates and make sure someone will be at the residence on the projected date of delivery, especially if you are gifting it to the States and/or somewhere where you do not live.
